炎熱的夏季到了，今天帶大家學習幾個“酷暑”表達神句。

1。 It’s stiflingly hot。 I can hardly study all！

天氣太悶熱了，我根本沒法好好學習！

→stifling ［stafl］令人窒息的悶熱

- I hate having to work in such a stifling office！

-我討厭在這樣一個悶熱的辦公室裡工作！

2。 It’s raining fire！ The road is melting and I am leaking/ sweating。

太熱了！感覺渾身都在滴汗，路也在融化。

→to rain fire火辣辣的熱，像在下火一樣

- Are you crazy？ It‘s raining fire outside and you want to take a walk？

-你瘋了是不是？外面熱得像在下火，你居然說要去外面散步？

這樣的天氣不避暑，就會中暑。

雖然我什麼都沒做，但還是汗流浹背。

這個說法很有趣，因為豬沒有汗腺，無法像許多動物那樣全身流汗，所以豬感到熱的時候，會到泥坑裡面打滾降溫。

那麼為什麼人們形容流很多汗會說像豬一樣呢，大概是因為人們對豬的印象不好，認為它們很髒、很能吃，也很能流汗吧。

5。 Let‘s stay at home； you could fry eggs on the sidewalk。

我們呆在家裡吧，人行道上都可以煎蛋了。

6。 It’s too hot to think。 I need to find some place to cool off。

熱得我都沒法思考，我需要找個地方涼快涼快。

H指代hot。

9。 It’s not just hot， it‘s Africa hot！ This weather is terrible。

不止是熱，是像非洲一樣熱！天熱得嚇人。

→Africa hot =extremely hot weather

- It’s Africa-hot out there！ I wouldn‘t step outside if you paid me 100 yuan。

-外面太熱了！就算你給我100塊錢我也不會出門的。

10。 It’s hot enough to melt hell。 I hope it will be cooler soon。

現在熱得足以把地獄熔化了，希望很快能夠涼快一點。
