以色列王看了信就撕裂衣服，說，我豈是神，能使人死使人活呢？這人竟打發人來，叫我治好他的大麻瘋。你們看一看，這人何以尋隙攻擊我呢？

以色列王唸完了信，就撕裂衣服，說∶「我，我哪裡是上帝，能使人死、使人活呢？這人竟送信來、叫我使一個人復原、沒有麻瘋屬之病阿！你們請想想，請看看，這人是怎樣找機會來為難我呀。」

As soon as the king of Israel read the letter， he tore his robes and said， “Am I God？ Can I kill and bring back to life？ Why does this fellow send someone to me to be cured of his leprosy？ See how he is trying to pick a quarrel with me！”
